Contract Recruiter Job Description Template

We are looking for an experienced Contract Recruiter to assist our HR Manager with end-to-end recruitment by determining our staffing needs, sourcing new talent, and managing interviews with qualified applicants. You will improve our hiring efforts across various job boards by drafting compelling job descriptions and coordinating interviews with the Hiring Manager. Besides helping the HR department with onboarding and orientation, you will manage our talent pool by implementing applicant tracking software, such as TurboHire, Keka, or Zoho Recruit. 

Our ideal candidate must have extensive knowledge of recruitment policies, guidelines, procedures, and appropriate channels for advertising various job roles. You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills to nurture strong relations with candidates and improve offer acceptance rates. Familiarity with different interviewing methods and practices and a proven track record in corporate recruitment are a must. 

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Hiring Managers to develop effective recruitment strategies based on our current business needs
• Assist the HR department with developing salary structures, establishing qualification criteria, and drafting job descriptions 
• Connect with potential candidates across various job boards, such as LinkedIn, Monster, Indeed, and similar channels
• Shortlist applicants by evaluating resumes, conducting background checks, and reviewing assessment results 
• Set up automated tools to track candidates and manage logistics of all interviews between the candidate and the Hiring Manager 
• Provide administrative support to the HR Manager in handling employee documentation and onboarding new hires

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working in recruitment-associated roles
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
• Strong writing, research, and reporting skills
• Proficiency in HR management software, such as Quickbooks or ADP
• Familiarity with HR practices and recruitment policies
• Solid understanding of recruitment analytics
• Certified professional as per the SHRM and HRCI
