Independent Recruiter Job Description Template

We are looking for an experienced Independent Recruiter to support our recruitment processes and cover our staffing needs for a specific period as an independent contractor. The responsibilities include sourcing new talent from popular job portals and forums, posting job ads on hiring channels, and coordinating interviews between the candidates and the department heads and hiring supervisors. 

Additionally, you will assist the HR department with onboarding new hires and issuing the right paperwork for each role. While managing our current talent pool, you will also answer any queries the candidates may have about the job role.

The ability to analyze competitive job feeds and create structured reports is essential to the role. • Address candidates’ queries regarding the job role and working conditions
• Work with our Hiring Managers to identify our staffing needs and role requirements
• Identify the latest hiring channels for posting job ads for open positions
• Source qualified candidates from various job portals and social media platforms
• Review candidate profile and resume and shortlist candidates for interviews
• Improve our company’s hiring process by developing effective strategies
• Share reports and presentations on industry trends and staffing practices
• Implement applicant tracking tools, such as Greenhouse, to automate the recruitment 
• Assist the HR department with onboarding new hires and facilitating documentation

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working in Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
• A Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proficiency in HR management software, such as Quickbooks or ADP
• Solid understanding of recruitment analytics and reporting structure
• Certified professional as per the SHRM and HRCI
• Familiarity with best HR practices and recruitment policies
• Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills
