Market Data Analyst Job Description Template
We are looking for a Market Data Analyst to perform a qualitative and quantitative market analysis, pointing out key market statistics and interpreting findings behind marketing campaigns, with a goal of providing targeted advertising opportunities, sales plans, and product promotions for our clients.
Your job will include tracking trends, identifying opportunities, and determining customer behavior and preferences to arrive at an optimal and realistic decision on Market tactics.
Our ideal candidate has excellent communication and analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to ensure accuracy with data interpretations. You should be well versed in Quantitative and Qualitative market analysis. Prior experience in Data Analysis is preferred.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics or Data Analytics is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collect relevant and reliable data from internal databases or external sources to gain insights on consumer behavior and market trends
- Implement data modeling tools to consolidate large volumes of data into actionable reports, case studies, and presentations
- Identify information relevant to the company, and its goals
- Implement fundamental data analytics techniques (Descriptive, Prescriptive, Diagnostic, etc.) to interpret and translate data through weekly reports
- Apply data visualization techniques to draft findings on marketing campaigns covering essential KPIs, sales volume, etc
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop conclusive campaign strategies for performance marketing
- Establish data-driven systems for trend forecasting, competitive analysis, and marketplace research
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data AnalyticsMarketing, Statistics, or related field
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Strong grasp of mathematical and statistical concepts
- Proven experience in Market Research and Data Analytics
- A proven ability to master and implement data management applications
- Familiarity with demand generation tactics is preferred
- Working knowledge of CRM programs and Microsoft Office Suite(Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, SAS, or a similar tool)
