Digital Marketing Director Job Description Template
We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Director to lead our digital marketing strategies. As our Digital Marketing Director, you will develop marketing campaigns and strategies for all digital channels and coordinate, supervise, and optimize their implementation. Other responsibilities include managing our online accounts and prioritizing and distributing advertising budgets. Your work will be crucial to elevating online brand awareness, attracting leads, and increasing conversion rates.
Our new Digital Marketing Director will collaborate with the content and sales department to ensure content coherence and correct brand messaging and periodically report to the Board of Directors/Vice President of Marketing.
The person we’re searching for has a bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Digital Technologies, or similar, and extensive experience working as a Marketing Manager. Knowledge of basic SEO and SEM practices and experience working with Google Analytics and CRM software is a must.
Conduct market research using methods such as A/B testing
Design marketing strategies for our blogs, email campaigns, websites, and social media platforms to increase traffic and conversion
Set and track KPIs for our marketing team
Instruct team members on implementing marketing strategies and create supporting documentation
Manage staff, deadlines, and budgets for every digital platform
Manage the creation and distribution of online content
Communicate with the sales, content, and product development departments to ensure correct implementation of marketing strategies
Create periodical reports and present them to your supervisors
A bachelor’s degree or higher in a marketing-related field
Previous experience in Digital Marketing in a managerial role (experience in the same position is considered a plus)
Strong writing skills
Thorough knowledge of e-commerce platforms, social media networks, and other digital publishing mediums
Strong knowledge of search engine marketing (SEM), social media optimization (SMO), search engine optimization (SEO), and pay-per-click marketing (PPC)
Experience with analytics tools such as Mailchimp, Google Analytics, and Facebook Business Manager
