We are looking for a goal-oriented Chief Content Officer to manage and direct our brand’s content marketing initiatives in a full-time, remote position. You will oversee the research, creation, and distribution of branded content that aims to increase brand awareness, drive website traffic, promote engagement, and ultimately generate sales.
This is a cross-functional role that requires you to collaborate with the Content, Marketing, and Sales departments.
Our ideal candidate must be a specialist in content optimization, including multichannel marketing, brand messaging, content design, and audience segmentation. You should also have excellent leadership skills to manage a diverse team of content experts.
To be successful in this role, you must have a solid understanding of SEO, social media marketing, paid advertising, and various analytics and project management tools. You must have an analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to multitask and shift priorities when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Create a strategic content roadmap that drives long and short term marketing initiatives, by determining KPIs that help track content performance
- Oversee brand messaging and ensure all forms of content remain consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice
- Establish publication standards and guidelines, implement tools, and adopt best practices for content creation, distribution, and maintenance
- Analyze marketing data that helps optimize brand messaging with content that informs, educates, and engages a wide audience
- Drive multi-channel content marketing efforts by establishing a workflow for creating, editing, publishing, repurposing, and distributing content
- Direct the research, analysis, and development of content plans that help promote brand awareness across various social media channels
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English language, Advertising, or a related field
- Minimum [XYZ] years of experience in Content Marketing
- Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to collaborate with the Marketing, Sales, PR, and Administrative departments
- Superb organizational and content planning skills
- Strong grasp of social media trends and technologies
- Solid research skills to identify target audiences and trends
- Thorough knowledge of content management software
- Basic understanding of web design, CMS, and HTML coding
- Proven experience in managing content marketing strategies
- Proficiency in content and web analytics is preferred
