Content Management Analyst Job Description Template
We are looking for a Content Management Analyst to join our team and help us improve the way our company thinks about using content. Your job will include evaluating the performance of our service, providing insights to guide development priorities, and collaborating with our software development teams to constantly improve the service.
The ideal candidate has experience and expertise managing content in an enterprise Content Management System (CMS). You should also be familiar and comfortable working in the analytics, strategy, planning, creative, marketing, and technology fields.

Responsibilities
- Making sure portal is based on user type and location including language translation and collaborating with the technical team to identify and fix site problems that arise
- Staying abreast of, selecting, implementing, and applying system upgrades and enhancements
- Tracking, analyzing, reporting, and responding to metrics that measure reach and effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement
- Developing standards, systems, and practices for content creation, maintenance, retrieval, distribution, and repurposing
- Applying a CMS to create unique multi-channel experiences for the organization
- Working with external developers and maintaining strong client relationships
- Auditing, diagnosing, and resolving content issues in the CMS and production environments
- Collaborating with technology and creative teams to innovate and test new functionality that improve our digital experiences
- Working as a liaison between creative, technical, relationship managers, and other internal groups
- Supporting SEO, measurement, and QA efforts to ensure an error-free experience for our clients
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Market Research, Statistics, Computer science, or a similar
- 2–4 years of research and analysis experience required
- At least 1 year of experience managing content and production for high-traffic websites
- Proven experience of deploying online content that reflects audience segmentation
- Knowledge of online services, platforms, and technology (website design, launches, ongoing management)
- Skills for content personalization and A/B (or multivariate) content testing
- Detail-oriented
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Highly-disciplined
- Process driven
