How To Optimize Your Job Description To Avoid Bad Candidates
Every job ad has unwanted guests—there’s no way around it. To keep the number of bad candidates to a minimum, you need to write a job description that is clear and specific about the role requirements and daily responsibilities.
Make sure to specify what kind of background the applicant needs to have and what tasks they will carry out on a daily basis. The more specific you get, the more unqualified applicants will be deterred by your description, saving you time and money during the hiring process.
Since a Content Operations Manager is essentially a Project Manager that deals with content teams, you need to specify that knowledge of project management is a major factor. If this role is not an exact match to what you need, you can hire a similar one, such as:
- Content Operations Analyst—Primarily focuses on the analytical side of content operations. They establish, collect, and report metrics and turn them into actionable insights
- Content Operations Specialist—Collaborates with Analysts and Managers to develop a publishing calendar and improve campaigns. Works closely with the Head of Content to create briefs and writing guidelines
