Customize Our Content Strategy Director Job Description Template to Your Company’s Needs
The template we provided is a good start, but you can’t copy it without changing any detail.
Your job description should go into specifics of the role you’re offering to ensure that underqualified candidates don’t flood your hiring funnel with applications you don’t want. When you write a job description, it’s important to detail out the role so that unqualified applicants get discouraged, and top-performing candidates get the whole picture of what the role entails.
To do so, you should specify every single responsibility that comes with the role, and list out all the demands you have from your candidates, such as relevant experience, education, and familiarity with specific software.
You should also highlight any benefits that come with the job to attract the top-performing Directors and entice them to accept your offer and not someone else’s.
Having a thorough job description that attracts top candidates and discourages band ones saves you time and money and makes the entire hiring process faster, easier and cheaper.
You can also consider offering a position in a similar role to make it more clear what your employee will be in charge of in your company. Such roles include:

- Content Manager—In charge of executing the content strategy devised by the Content Strategist and Content Strategy Director. Oversees the production of content—its implementation and performance
