Fitzii is an applicant tracking system (ATS) for SMBs based in the United States and Canada that focuses on in-house recruiting officers and businesses with little to no experience with HR software. 

What sets Fitzii apart from the competition is the so-called Fitzii score. It uses pre-employment personality tests to predict how well a candidate would do in your company.

Fitzii—Key Features

Fitzii offers a free ATS that allows you to create a job post and distribute it on major job websites with ease. Then you can use it to log applications from several job boards in one place. 

The ATS is not anything to write home about—you get what you pay for. The appeal of Fitzii lies in the fact that you can get a paid subscription and work with a hiring advisor. The advisor will help you set up your job post, and they’ll review your job description to make it sound more appealing and go over prescreening questions with you.

Another prominent aspect of Fitzii is the candidate scoring feature. The platform sends out optional assessments to gauge candidates’ personalities and how well they would fit in with your working environment. Combined with an applicant’s qualifications (experience, education, or skills), these two factors will determine the Fitzii score.

The higher the score, the more likely you’ll make a good hire, at least according to Fitzii. You can then shortlist candidates with the highest Fitzii score and invite them for an interview, saving time on interviewing every candidate that applies. You can also request video screenings (candidates upload videos answering your questions) and reference surveys.

The reference survey requires candidates to leave email addresses of references (up to 30) that complete an anonymous survey so that you get a better idea of the candidate’s work capabilities.

Fitzii—Downsides

As far as the ATS goes, it focuses on the Fitzii score and lacks many functionalities that have become essential in modern candidate-tracking solutions. For instance, it lacks CV parsing, resume search options, and reporting features.

Fitzii’s goal is to show small businesses that resumes use similar keywords and are not good indicators of how good someone actually is. The platform focuses on testing personalities and culture fits instead of their actual job performance and quality of work. 

Fitzii also has no integrations with productivity tools that would help you schedule interviews, automate correspondence, or do any pre-hire assessments outside of Fitzii’s personality test and interviews. If you leave the personality test as optional, you won’t have much to go off of when inviting applicants to the next stage in the selection process. If you decide to use this software, you’ll rely on the Fitzii score to make your decision.
