12 Best Job Boards in the Netherlands for Attracting Top Candidates
For years, the Netherlands has been one of the most attractive European countries for multinational employers. Even before COVID-19, the Netherlands promoted a remote work environment. Around 14% of the Dutch workforce was already remote before the pandemic— almost four times the percentage of the pre-2020 remote workforce in the United States!
In addition, Dutch professionals are, on average, highly-educated and proficient in English, making them an even better fit for employers worldwide.
If you want to tap into this rich labor market yourself, you’ll need to engage with Dutch jobseekers through the best job boards in the Netherlands. There are plenty of regional and local online job boards to choose from, and we’ll help you pick the best ones with our detailed guide to the top 12 job sites in the country!

#1 deBanenSite.nl
deBanenSite is one of the longest-running job boards in the Netherlands—it has been connecting high-quality candidates with employers from all over the world for over 20 years. While there’s no option for free job ads, deBanenSite remains one of the best job boards in the country, largely thanks to its user-friendly interface for employers and over 400,000 visitors per month.
International employers may find the lack of UI support for English inconvenient, but the website is largely clutter-free, and Google Translate does a great job translating most of it. Out of around 7,000 active ads, over 100 are specifically aimed at English speakers.
Once you advertise your vacancy on deBanenSite.nl, your job ad will automatically be visible on the website’s partner network. This network includes prominent platforms like:
A single vacancy—€399 for a 90-day ad, access to in-house ATS, reposting to other job boards in the website’s partner network
Unlimited ads—€1,495 for an unlimited number of simultaneous ads with the same features
The website also gives you access to a resume database filled with helpful candidate info on over 350,000 applicants, but it costs an additional €499 on top of the ad prices. This is one of the rare downsides of using this website to find qualified candidates—most other platforms don’t bill you separately for their CV databases, especially those that already charge heftily for the basic job posting.
There’s also no support for integration with third-party applicant tracking systems, though there’s an in-house ATS with rudimentary tracking features and stage-based funnels.
Pros
Cons
One of the most popular job boards in the Netherlands
Resume database with over 350,000 candidates
Easy-to-use interface
Paid access to resume database
No free job posts
#2 Nationale Vacaturebank
Nationale Vacaturebank is one of the most popular digital job boards in the Netherlands. It’s managed and owned by DPG Media, one of the largest media networks in the country.
The job board has also won several awards in the employment sites category, and it’s easy to see why it’s so popular among employers. The Nationale Vacaturebank resume database houses info on over a million candidates, making it one of the biggest sources of candidate info in the country. There are also over 2,500 active ads for English speakers—the platform is often used by international employers.
Posting a job on the website could be more streamlined as you must register a DPG Media account first. You can use it to log into other websites on the DPG Media network.
Still, the account gives you immediate access to the CV database, and Nationale Vacaturebank offers other services as well. They can help you make your job ads more inclusive and organize unbiased job interviews through its Discrimination Labor Monitor program, for example.
Nationale Vacaturebank can also repost your ads on other DPG Media websites and various social media platforms. The platform’s staff also gives free consultations to employers interested in improving their online hiring practices.
You can choose between three types of job ads, as depicted in the image below:

The Basic Vacancy package lasts the shortest, and it won’t be reposted on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook like the higher-priced ones. Still, it will appear on Google’s search results, and jobseekers on Nationale Vacaturebank will see it in their daily job newsletters.
The Featured Vacancy tier lets you add a company logo to your ads and places them at the top of the website’s search results. Your ad will also be shared to four other websites in the DPG network, and they also last longer (60 days).
The Vacancy Campaign tier comes with audience targeting features, increases the number of DPG network websites you can reach to 10, and ensures your ads are reposted on social media too.
Unfortunately, none of the three subscription tiers come with candidate tracking features or integration with third-party ATS. The overall reliance on other DPG websites and a DPG account can also be tiresome for employers looking for a straightforward hiring process.
Pros
Cons
Reputable, award-winning job board
CV database with over a million candidates
Additional recruitment services
Have to register for a DPG Media account before posting job ads
#3 Jobbird
Many international job boards can help you fill vacancies with top-tier professionals from the Netherlands, but Jobbird is one of the rare local sites that let you do it for free.
If you want to post a basic job ad, you only need to provide a few details (like the job title, location, and educational requirements) and a job description; you can have your ad up and running within minutes.
Source: Jobbird
You can also pay €149 monthly for a premium job ad if you want to connect with more candidates. That way, applicants who follow Jobbird’s newsletter will be notified of your vacancy. It will also appear at the top of the website’s search results; free vacancies are less visible because newer ads quickly displace them.
The website also has a candidate database with over 1.2 million resumes—you can filter available candidates by Zip code, province, and city, quickly finding qualified candidates that match your needs.
Pros
Cons
Educational and geographical filters that let you find ideal candidates quickly
Resume database with more than 1.2 million candidates
Basic ads are free
Free ads lose visibility quickly to newer posts
#4 JobsOnline.nl
JobsOnline.nl is one of the best free job boards focusing on the Netherlands, though it also offers premium paid ads. Besides allowing you to advertise for free, JobsOnline’s main selling points are its additional services and ease of use.
As an employer or recruiter, you can search the website’s candidate database and filter potential applicants by education, experience, and location—though this database is only available to paying customers.
JobsOnline.nl gives you four price points to choose from:
Basic Vacancy—free ads that last up to 14 days
Top Vacancy—€399 per ad that lasts up to 30 days, email notifications to candidates, reposting on social media, candidate database, and higher visibility on JobsOnline
Premium Vacancy—€649 per ad that lasts 30 days, higher visibility than previous tiers, reposting on partner networks
Professional Vacancy—€1,049 per ad that lasts 30 days, even higher visibility, campaigns on Instagram and Facebook, Google Ads management, and content creation services
Bear in mind that the website is only available in Dutch, so you may have a hard time navigating it without the help of a Dutch speaker or at least Google Translate. The free ads also only last for two weeks and are quickly supplanted by new ones.
Pros
Cons
Clear pricing model
Basic ads are free
Large number of additional services
Easily searchable candidate database
Free ads quickly lose visibility to newer posts
UI only supports Dutch
#5 Together Abroad
Since the pandemic, remote job boards have become more popular among employers looking for international talent—and Together Abroad is an excellent choice if you’re looking for qualified professionals in the Netherlands.
Unlike most other job boards in the Netherlands, Together Abroad’s website is available in English, making it easier for English-speaking and international recruiters to use. Besides the three ad packages you can choose from, the website also helps you manage targeted email campaigns and recruitment drives on thefollowing social media platforms:
Pinterest
Twitter
LinkedIn
Facebook
You can also create a company profile page with your logo and other brand visuals, followed by a company description written to attract passive and active candidates. For higher-paying clients, Together Abroad provides templates for these company pages and job ads.
The platform also maintains a CV database with an undisclosed number of candidates. It’s only available after you pay a separate €1,899 monthly subscription.
Here are the three price options for ads on Together Abroad:
Basic Ads—€275 for a 60-day ad accompanied by your company logo
Standard Ads—€375 for a 60-day ad with Basic features, plus email notifications for candidates
Premium Ads—€475 for a 90-day ad with all previous features, plus cross-posting on other job boards
Source: Together Abroad
The fact that even basic ads last for 60 days is excellent, as is the English UI. However, the monthly subscription for the resume database is quite expensive, especially considering you can’t see how many candidates it contains before registering. With more pricing transparency, an almost €2,000 per month subscription for the CVs alone would be easier to understand.
Pros
Cons
Available in English for international users
Cross-posting on social media
Premium ads last for 90 days
Lack of detailed pricing information
Pricey CV database
